Security Agency

Our security agencies who are meant to secure the lives and properties of the citizens in the country have turned into legal criminals who assault and abuse innocent citizens who do not know their right with weapons. They kill innocent individuals when they feel like and our government keeps quiet over it and has turned deaf ears to the complaints of the citizens.

The security agencies especially the police force instead of helping to curb corruption and protect the lives and properties of the citizens in the country, they align with criminals and armed robbers and sometimes, they supply them weapons of operation. They also cause nuisance on the roads by stopping cars unnecessarily to collect money from them instead of ensuring that drivers are with their complete particulars and papers which shows the authenticity of their ownership of the vehicle and their driving qualification. They go as far as abusing and assaulting those anyone who refuses to give them the money they require.

The most painful part of all these is that our government and political leaders know about all these and they do nothing about it. Honestly, if we continue this way, our country will remain stagnant and our economy will keep recessing, our citizens will keep dying of poverty and corruption will keep rising to greater levels until it gets to a level where we can no longer curb it and it becomes part of us.

The government should organise a secret monitoring patrol team made up of honest individuals and young citizens who will monitor the activities and works of the security agencies in the country and report those who are malfunctioning. These reported officers will then be charged to cult were they will face charges that was levelled against them and when found guilty, will be punished.

The immigration officers should be critically monitored together with our boarders and airports to monitor the exportation and importation of illegal transfer of huge sums of money into foreign accounts should be banned. And banks in Nigeria should also be monitored and anyone who earns more than his investments should be queried and when huge money transaction is made, the source should be queried.

I hereby urge, challenge and encourage our leaders especially our president to look into the security agencies of the state because corrupt security agencies cannot handle the lives of the citizens, it will be a grievous mistake and a mistrust on our side to have and rely on such agencies for protection.

D-voice hereby speak out for the people and plead to the government for a new and refined generation of security agencies, the ones who have the lives of the people at heart and ones who have passion for what they are doing, ones with the fear of God and ones who are diligent in what they are doing.
